We trust you are enjoying this lovely summer and are taking advantage of all nature has to offer us during this season of growth and change. At Calamarie we have been inspired by our new home in Miami and by its glorious ocean, palm trees and the intense summer heat to blossom and grow in new and unexpected ways. In just a few short months beautiful alliances have formed with amazing women across the country to make Calamarie available each day to more unique and concious women.
We are so grateful to the many who have found us recently and are taking it upon themselves to share Calamarie with other conscious and unique women in their lives and in their cities across the country. We are especially excited to have found new homes at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC, Dinah Lee in Cambria, CA, Luz Luna Crafts in Half Moon Bay, CA, the Global Arts Gallery in Patagonia, AZ, the Vermont Center for Integrative Therapy in South Burlington and starting this August, the Katzen Arts Center at American University.
I got teary-eyed this past May at Food as Medicine as everywhere we looked a beautiful lady was wearing roses in their own unique way. Check out Judith Friedman of the Natural Gourmet Institute & Marti Wolfson of the Blum Center in their Calamarie rose necklaces (left). We can't wait to be there again next year! Also this summer, through an alliance with the Center for Mind Body Medicine in Washington, DC we deceloped the I AM CENTERED BRACELETS to raise funds for their amazing programs in Gaza, Israel, Haiti and right here at home.
Then in June, through a collaboration with amazing fellow designers, Kim Schalk and Claudia Diamante we opened a fab design collaborative & pop up shop in quaint Leesburg, VA just outside of DC where we were wlecomed with open arms.
Last but not least, through a serendipitous collaborattion with lovely Rina of Rina Yoga, we opened a new shop inside their brand new studio in The Roads.
So much to be grateful for and to grow with this summer!
